The new Kia K4 can be ordered in Romania: Prices from 27,400 euros and 5 equipment levels

The new Kia K4 debuts in Romania: Avant-garde design and launch prices that "attack" the compact segment
The compact segment just got a lot more interesting. Kia has officially started taking orders for the new K4 hatchback in Romania, a model that not only replaces old benchmarks, but also comes with a radical design language, meant to steal the attention of Volkswagen Golf or Peugeot 308 owners.
The best news for those who are doing their budget calculations? The South Korean manufacturer is offering a launch discount of 3,000 euros, valid for any chosen configuration.
Prices: Where does the Kia "revolution" start?
Although the list price for the entry-level variant is 30,400 euros (VAT included), the aforementioned promotion lowers the entry threshold to 27,400 euros. It is an aggressive positioning, considering the technological leap and the dimensions of the new model.
Here's what the pricing structure for the main versions looks like (list prices, without the €3,000 discount):

Engines for all tastes: From efficiency to 180 HP
The Kia K4 is not only based on its futuristic appearance, but also on a balanced engine range, focused on turbocharged gasoline units.
- Entry-level (1.0 T-GDi): A 1.0-liter, 115 hp engine, ideal for urban driving. It comes with either a manual gearbox or a mild-hybrid (MHEV) version mated to the famous dual-clutch automatic transmission (7-DCT).
- Balanced performance (1.6 T-GDi): For those who want more power on long journeys, the 1.6-liter unit develops 150 HP or even 180 HP. Both variants come exclusively with automatic transmission.
- Green Future: Kia has already confirmed that the range will later be completed by a Full Hybrid variant, which will likely attract most fleet customers and those concerned with minimal consumption without plug-in charging.
Features: What do you get in the "Urban" version?
Even in the basic level, called Urban, the new K4 does not feel "poor". Although the 16-inch wheels are made of steel, the list of standard equipment includes elements that define modern comfort:
- Technology: Generous 12.3-inch central display.
- Visibility: LED headlights and daytime running lights (DRL) also with LED technology.
- Interior: Artificial leather steering wheel and ambient lighting for a premium atmosphere.
- Comfort: High-quality fabric upholstery and a full suite of assistance systems.
“The new K4 is not just a replacement for the old Ceed, but a statement of visual independence in the C-segment. It is long, wide and full of screens – exactly what the market demands in 2026.”
Is it worth the wait?
With five trim levels (Urban, Comfort Line, Comfort Line+, GT Line and GT Line+), Kia offers a rare level of flexibility. If you're looking for a compact that won't look like the rest of the cars in the parking lot and appreciate the brand's 7-year warranty, the K4 seems like a winning bet.
