Launch on the Romanian market and promotional price. Chinese manufacturer Jaecoo officially expands its presence on the domestic market by launching its flagship, the new Jaecoo 8 SHS-P. The large SUV, equipped with advanced plug-in hybrid mechatronics, is now available for order in the national network.
For the initial launch phase, customers in Romania will have access to a single equipment version, called Exclusive. This includes an extremely rich package of standard features, along with the all-wheel drive system. The Jaecoo 8 SHS-P is sold at a promotional launch price of 50,990 euros (VAT included), positioning itself as a competitive alternative in the mid-to-large electrified SUV segment.
Imposing exterior design and flagship presence
The Asian brand's flagship model adopts a robust and elegant design language, meant to underline its status as the flagship of the range. The generous proportions are complemented by modern stylistic elements that combine aerodynamics with functionality.
The exterior appearance includes:

The plug-in hybrid powertrain of the new Jaecoo 8 SHS-P combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with an electric motor mounted on the rear axle and a dedicated 3DHT hybrid transmission. The assembly is powered by a battery with a capacity of 34.46 kWh.
The delivered system offers high dynamic performance and remarkable energy efficiency:
- Power and torque: 462 hp and a maximum torque of 580 Nm.
- Performance: Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds.
- Electric range: Up to 135 kilometers in 100% electric mode.
- Fast charging: The battery supports direct current (DC) fast charging stations with a power of up to 70 kW.
- Total range: Over 1,000 kilometers in the WLTP cycle on a single tank of fuel and a fully charged battery. In real-world range tests, the model achieved a range of up to 1,660 kilometers.
Digital technologies, connectivity and safety systems
The technological level of the Jaecoo flagship is reflected in the advanced configuration of the driving position and the complete suite of driver assistance features.
