World premiere: The new electric SUV Škoda Peaq 2027 – Flagship with 7 seats, huge battery and autonomy of over 640 km
After a long promotional campaign, the manufacturer from Mladá Boleslav officially presented the new Škoda Peaq 2027. The largest SUV in the Czech brand's portfolio signs a series of important technological and design firsts, instantly becoming the new benchmark for the manufacturer's range of electric vehicles (zero-emission range).
With a length of almost 4.88 meters and capacity for up to 7 passengers, the Peaq 2027 is designed as a true "living room on wheels", offering premium features, smart solutions and top-notch electrical performance.
Dimensions and Positioning: The largest Škoda SUV in history
Designed as the brand's flagship, the Škoda Peaq is the brand's first model in the large SUV segment.
Length: 4,874 mm (116 mm longer than the new Kodiaq with internal combustion engines).
Wheelbase: 2,965 mm (174 mm longer than the Kodiaq and 124 mm longer than the Superb sedan).
Sustainability: Peaq uses the highest proportion of recycled materials of all the brand's models, integrating over 50 kg of sustainable materials on the exterior and interior.
Personalization: The model is available in 10 body colors and with rims ranging in size from 19 to 21 inches.
Exterior Design: "Modern Solid" Language and Record Aerodynamics
The exterior design adopts the new minimalist Modern Solid philosophy, directly inspired by the Vision 7S concept. Clean lines and flowing surfaces give the car an imposing yet extremely elegant presence.
Front: Dominated by the narrow "T"-shaped optical blocks and the glossy black Tech-Deck Face false grille, both of which are visually united in a coherent aesthetic loop, counterbalanced by the massive "Volcano line" bumper.
Profile: Highlighted by a high shoulder line and wide D-pillars, inscribed with the brand name.
Retractable handles (Premiere): The Peaq is the first Škoda to be equipped with handles that retract completely into the doors when the car is locked or in motion, streamlining the airflow. They extend electrically when the driver approaches or can be operated manually.
Top aerodynamics: Despite its size, the SUV achieves a drag coefficient (Cd) of just 0.249. This result is thanks to active flaps behind the front bumper (which only open when the battery needs cooling), the “Air Curtain” air ducts, wheel deflectors, optimised mirrors and a completely flat floor.
Headlights and LED Technology
The "T"-shaped light signature, originally introduced on the Epiq concept, becomes standard on the Peaq, for both the front and rear.
LED Matrix (optional / standard on top versions): Uses 18 light segments per headlight to ensure maximum illumination at night, automatically cutting off oncoming cars to prevent glare.
Top LED taillights: Come as standard with dynamic animated turn signals.
Light Band: A front light band that unites the headlights, providing a unique visual identity at night.
Panoramic Roof: The largest in the brand's history
Another absolute first for the Czech manufacturer is the panoramic roof with Dynamic Shade Control technology.
It has a huge glazed area of ??over 2.1 square meters.
Being an electrochromic roof, it uses electrical voltage to modify its transparency and the level of light entering the passenger compartment.
It is divided into 9 individually controllable segments directly from the infotainment system or via a touch panel located on the overhead console.
Interior Design, Space and Trunk
The interior is designed to comfortably accommodate up to 7 adults. The nearly 3-meter wheelbase guarantees generous knee and headroom even in the second and third rows.
Record-breaking luggage compartment: In the 5-seat configuration, the Peaq offers the largest luggage compartment in Škoda history: 935 liters. Even with all 7 seats occupied, 299 liters of usable space remains.
Frunk (front luggage compartment): It has a capacity of 37 liters, making it ideal for storing charging cables. The storage spaces in the passenger compartment add another 33 useful liters.
Design Selections (Interior Styles): Customers can choose from 5 conceptual variants:
Loft: Black upholstery combined with light gray premium Techtona material (leather substitute) on the dashboard.
Lodge: Dark gray fabric with green accents from Techtona.
Suite Black: High-quality black teak.
Suite Ceramique: Techtona finished in an elegant shade of light gray.
Sportline Lounge: Swedish sports seats and black Techtona with white stitching.
Relax and Premium Comfort Package
For those who want a truly luxurious experience, Škoda is optionally introducing the Relax Package, which transforms the car into a private lounge:
AGR certified ergonomic seats: Electrically adjustable, heated, ventilated and equipped with a massage function, plus extendable footrests and special headrest cushions.
Folding table: Integrated in the Jumbo Box, between the front seats.
Wellbeing app: Offers 6 different modes (relaxation, stretching, energy boost, etc.) that automatically adjust the climate, ambient lighting and massage in the chairs.
Sonos Premium Audio System: Developed specifically for Peaq, this system has 16 speakers, a next-generation amplifier and a total power of 755 W (includes a dual 200 W subwoofer integrated into an 18-liter enclosure).
Engines, Performance and Range
The new electric SUV is available in three power versions, with rear-wheel drive (RWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD):
| Variant | Battery Capacity (Gross/Net) | Drivetrain | Max Output | Peak Torque | Acceleration (0-100 km/h) | Top Speed | Estimated Range |
| Peaq 60 | 63 kWh (59 kWh) | Rear-wheel drive (RWD) | 150 kW (204 hp) | 350 Nm | 8.4 seconds | 160 km/h | over 450 km |
| Peaq 90 | 91 kWh (86 kWh) | Rear-wheel drive (RWD) | 210 kW (286 hp) | 545 Nm | 7.1 seconds | 180 km/h | over 640 km |
| Peaq 90x | 91 kWh (86 kWh) | All-wheel drive (AWD) | 220 kW (300 hp) | N/A | 6.7 seconds | 180 km/h | over 610 km |
All versions use a permanent magnet synchronous motor on the rear axle. The top-of-the-line Peaq 90x model adds an asynchronous motor on the front axle, ideal for extra grip and quick turns. Towing capacity is 1,800 kg for RWD versions and reaches 2,000 kg for the 90x version (trailer with brakes).
Batteries, Charging Times and Efficiency
The 91 kWh battery installed in the 90 and 90x versions is the largest battery ever fitted to a Škoda. Both batteries are produced locally in Mladá Boleslav using Nickel-Manganese-Cobalt (NMC) chemistry.
Charging time (10% - 80%): Only 27 minutes for the small battery and 28 minutes for the 91 kWh battery.
One-Pedal Driving: Selecting the “B” position on the gear selector allows the car to slow to a complete stop just by releasing the accelerator pedal. Energy recovery covers over 95% of everyday braking situations.
Brakes and Suspension: The front receives MacPherson suspension and brake discs, while the rear axle comes with a multi-link architecture (5 arms) and drum brakes (a solution chosen due to low maintenance, braking being managed mostly through energy recovery anyway).
Heat pump: Available as an optional feature, this is new generation and maximizes autonomy in winter, especially if the car is preconditioned from the app.
Energy in both directions: Bidirectional Charging
The Škoda Peaq 2027 is not just a means of transportation, but also a source of energy on wheels:
V2L (Vehicle-to-Load): Allows external consumers (home appliances, tools or other gadgets) to be powered directly from the car battery.
V2H (Vehicle-to-Home) and V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid): When used in conjunction with the special Ambibox DC Wallbox from MOON POWER, the car can power the entire home or send power back to the national grid during peak hours.
Technology, Connectivity and “Camp Mode”
The car's digital center is represented by the 13.6-inch infotainment system screen, based on an Android platform. This is the first time that a Škoda has used a vertically mounted screen. The interface is completely new, configurable in the form of a grid, providing access to native or third-party applications such as Spotify and YouTube.
The MyŠkoda application brings dedicated functions for electric vehicle owners, including Plug & Charge (recharging at public stations without cards or additional authentication, based on the Powerpass subscription).
Innovation - Camp Mode: For those who want to spend the night in the car, activating the "Camp Mode" function in the app maintains the ventilation system and the selected temperature in the cabin throughout the night, ensuring a continuous flow of fresh air. The function requires the car battery to be at a minimum level of 20%.
Later this year, the digital key function for smartphones (iPhone and Android) will also be launched.
Advanced Assistance and Safety Systems
The flagship comes standard with a massive active and passive safety package, including 10 airbags (including a center airbag between the front seats and side airbags for rear passengers).
Standard features: Crossroad Assist (detects vehicles, bicycles or scooters at intersections using new radars in the bar), Turn Assist, Collision Avoidance Assist and Predictive Adaptive Cruise Control.
Travel Assist 3.0 (Optional): The most advanced Škoda system to date. Includes Traffic Jam Assist, Emergency Assist and even reacts to traffic light colors. Later, the lane change assist function will also be available.
Autonomous parking: The Assist package brings Intelligent Park Assist, along with Trained Park Assist (the car memorizes repetitive parking maneuvers) and Remote Park Assist (parking from outside the car).
Active Driver Monitoring: A camera integrated into the rearview mirror housing tracks the driver's eye movements to accurately assess fatigue and inattention.
"Simply Clever" details redefined
In addition to the frunk compartment and the folding table, Peaq hides ingenious details at the windshield level:
Wipers with integrated washer: The washer nozzles are mounted directly on the wiper blades. This solution reduces windshield fluid consumption by approximately 50% and significantly improves visibility during cleaning.
Historical homage: On the passenger side, on the edge of the windshield, a discreet graphic of three cyclists is printed. It is a direct reference to the brand's origins in Mladá Boleslav and its first product, the Slavia bicycle.
Peaq Sportline version: Dynamism at its best
From launch, the SUV will also be available in the sporty Sportline trim, which stands out for:
Gloss black exterior accents (emblems, lettering, badges).
It is the only version that allows the option of a two-tone body, with a black roof.
Standard 20-inch wheels (21 optional), Matrix LED headlights and Tech-Deck Face lighting included from the factory.
Inside, an all-black ambience, sports seats with pronounced lateral support and integrated head restraints, a 3-spoke sports steering wheel (equipped with paddles for regenerative braking control) and aluminum pedals. The Tech and Convenience packages are offered as standard on the Sportline.
