Mazda has officially launched the new generation of its successful SUV, the CX-5, on the Romanian market, which can already be ordered. The brand's representative office announced the prices, confirming a starting price of 32,690 euros (VAT included) for the basic version.
Details about prices and equipment
The new Mazda CX-5 is structured on several equipment levels, offering a varied range for interested customers. The base model, equipped with the Prime Line level, starts at the mentioned price of 32,690 euros.
As you move up the range, prices increase. Other trim levels available include Centre Line, Exclusive Line and the top-of-the-range Homura, for which the price can reach around 41,800 euros.
Engine and Performance
In terms of engine, the new Mazda CX-5 is offered on the Romanian market in a simplified configuration. The model comes with a single engine option: a 2.5-liter gasoline engine, coupled exclusively to a six-speed automatic transmission. This unit develops 141 hp and 238 Nm of torque.
The car is available in both front-wheel drive (4x2) and all-wheel drive (AWD) versions. In terms of performance, the 4x2 version reaches 100 km/h in 10.5 seconds, while the AWD version achieves the sprint in 10.9 seconds. The officially announced combined consumption varies between 7 l/100 km (4x2) and 7.4-7.5 l/100 km (AWD).
The new SUV has a length of 4,690 mm, a width of 2,077 mm, a height of 1,695 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,815 mm. The ground clearance is 200 mm.
The new generation Mazda CX-5 is available for pre-order, and is expected to arrive in showrooms in Romania in December.
