The new Cayenne Electric 2027, the brands most powerful production model, has been launched!

The new Cayenne Electric redefines Porsche: record power and cutting-edge technology
Porsche has taken a giant leap into the electric age, officially unveiling the next generation of its flagship SUV, the Porsche Cayenne Electric. The long-awaited event confirmed long-rumored details, positioning the new model not just as an alternative to conventional propulsion, but as a new benchmark for performance. With a maximum output of 1,156 horsepower in the top version, the new Cayenne Turbo Electric is officially the most powerful production Porsche in the company's history.
The digital launch, followed by the public premiere at the Icons of Porsche festival in Dubai, marked a defining moment for the Stuttgart-based manufacturer, which continues to offer, in parallel, versions with a combustion engine and plug-in hybrid.
Physics-defying performance: From SUV to Hyper-SUV
The new Cayenne Electric is launched in two variants, both based on the 800-volt Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture, shared with the Macan Electric:
Cayenne Electric (Basic Version):
- Standard Power: 408 HP
- Power with Launch Control: 442 HP and 835 Nm
- 0-100 km/h sprint: 4.8 seconds
- Maximum speed: 230 km/h
Cayenne Turbo Electric (Top of the range):
- Standard Power: 857 HP
- Maximum Power (Launch Control + Push-to-Pass): 1156 HP and 1500 Nm
- 0-100 km/h sprint: 2.5 seconds
- Maximum speed: 260 km/h
The innovative "Push-to-Pass" system provides a temporary boost of power (10 seconds), transforming an already extremely fast SUV into a true "hyper-SUV", capable of reaching 200 km/h in just 7.4 seconds.
Top autonomy and ultra-fast charging
Both versions benefit from a 113 kWh battery pack, offering impressive range:
- Cayenne Electric: Up to 642 km (WLTP)
- Cayenne Turbo Electric: Up to 623 km (WLTP)
Thanks to the 800V architecture, the model supports a charging capacity of up to 400 kW, allowing charging from 10% to 80% in less than 16 minutes. An absolute novelty is also the introduction, optionally, of an 11 kW induction charging system, simplifying the charging process.
A new aerodynamic design language and a digital interior
The Cayenne Electric comes with a completely new body, 55 millimeters longer than the petrol model, reaching 4985 mm. The design is characterized by a smooth and minimalist silhouette, optimized for aerodynamics, with a coefficient of drag of just 0.25.
The Porsche Active Aerodynamics (PAA) system integrates moving elements (front cooling vents, extended spoiler and blades in the rear bumper) that adjust automatically to maximize efficiency or downforce.
The Cabin of the Future: Screens and Augmented Reality
The interior redefines the concept of digital luxury:
- Flow Display: The largest central display ever fitted to a Porsche.
- OLED Digital Instrumentation: 14.25 inch diagonal.
- Optional Passenger Screen: 14.9 inch, allows video streaming without distracting the driver.
- Head-up Display with Augmented Reality: Projects information (navigation arrows, lane guidance) onto a virtual surface equivalent to 87 inches at 10 meters away.
Comfort is enhanced by the new Mood Modes, which adjust the atmosphere (seats, lighting, climate, sound) and the function of heating the contact surfaces (armrests, door panels). Versatility is ensured by a generous 781-liter trunk, complemented by a 90-liter front trunk (frunk).
Prices for the Romanian market: Electric luxury has a cost
Although it is the most powerful model, the Cayenne Electric maintains a premium price structure. According to official information, the new model is already available for order on the Romanian market, with the following starting prices (VAT included):
- The Porsche Cayenne Electric (408 HP) has a starting price of 108,040 euros.
- The Porsche Cayenne Turbo Electric (1156 HP) starts at 168,525 euros.
With the launch of the Cayenne Electric, Porsche is not only expanding its range of electric vehicles, but also strengthening its leading position in the luxury and performance SUV segment, setting a new standard for the mobility of the future.
