BMW 7 Series facelift debuts in Romania. Prices, news and technical data
The Munich-based manufacturer is bringing its top-of-the-range model to the Romanian car market: the new BMW 7 Series facelift. After its world premiere in the spring, the German sedan has been officially launched in the country, marking a new standard in terms of opulence, technology and craftsmanship.
An exclusive debut – Technology meets Hi-Fi acoustics
The launch event of the new 7 Series facelift in Romania benefited from an atypical, but ideal setting for a limousine that emphasizes the sensory experience. The launch was organized in partnership with the high-fidelity audio-video equipment showroom Audio Monkey, under the concept "HiFi Tech Magic".
Guests had the opportunity to have their first contact with the innovations brought by the German model, where acoustic comfort and high-resolution audio systems (such as the advanced Bowers & Wilkins system with 36 speakers) transform the passenger compartment into a private concert hall.
World premiere – BMW Individual Dual-Finish theme
One of the most impressive elements introduced by the new 7 Series facelift is the BMW Individual Dual-Finish paint option – a world premiere developed exclusively for this model.
This aesthetic option offers a refined contrast:
- Bottom: Matte finish (Frozen).
- Upper: Classic metallic finish, applied with extreme precision.
- Separation line: A fine, hand-drawn stripe that perfectly delimits the two paint tones.
Handicraft work in Dingolfing
The development process for this technique took two and a half years. At the BMW plant in Dingolfing, a team of over 20 specialists intervenes manually throughout the 12 stages of the painting process. Each vehicle equipped with the Dual-Finish theme spends over 75 hours in the paint shop – almost 6 times more than with a conventional paint job.
The presentation copy brought to the event in Romania was configured in the shades Tanzanite Blue Frozen III metallic (matte lower area) and Tanzanite Blue III metallic (glossy upper area).
What new features does the 7 Series facelift bring?
In addition to the exceptional exterior finishes, the facelift brings major optimizations at the technical, aesthetic and infotainment levels:
- Revised front design and illuminated grille: The iconic BMW Iconic Glow grille and dual light signature have received subtle adjustments in proportions for an even more imposing presence on the road.
- Updated interior with Neue Klasse-inspired elements: The BMW iDrive infotainment system has been updated to the latest version, offering a smoother interface, advanced voice commands and native integration of streaming services.
- Executive experience for rear passengers: The 31.3-inch BMW Theatre Screen with 8K resolution remains the highlight for the rear seats, along with the doors that open automatically at the touch of a button.
- Aerodynamic efficiency and sound insulation: Additional sound-absorbing materials have been added to the pillars and wheel arches for a near-silent ride, especially on 100% electric variants.
