The affordable electric revolution: The new Škoda Epiq compact SUV has been officially unveiled
The Mladá Boleslav-based manufacturer has officially lifted the curtain on the newest and most anticipated member of its electric family: the Škoda Epiq. Positioned directly as the electric counterpart to the popular urban SUV Kamiq, the new model promises to become an essential pillar for the Czech brand. It comes with an absolute first for the range: it is the first fully electric Škoda model equipped exclusively with front-wheel drive.
Exterior Design: The "Modern Solid" Philosophy Taken to the Extreme
The new Epiq marks a visual turning point, being the first production vehicle to fully embody the brand’s new Modern Solid design language. Its appearance is defined by straight, clean lines and refined details that give it a robust presence on the road.
- Tech Deck Face: The classic grille has been replaced by a spectacular glossy black panel, which discreetly hides the sensors and radars of the active assistance systems.
- The “T” Light Signature: The standard LED headlights and taillights adopt a unique graphic shape, an element that will define the visual identity of future models of the brand. Optionally, customers can choose the adaptive LED Matrix headlights with 12 segments.
- Optimized aerodynamics: The bumper integrates vertical air intakes (inspired by the Vision 7S concept), contributing to a remarkable drag coefficient of just 0.275, also supported by active aerodynamic elements under the body.
Thanks to the new MEB+ architecture of the Volkswagen Group, the Epiq maintains compact proportions, ideal for urban traffic: it measures 4171 mm in length, 1798 mm in width and 1581 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2601 mm. The color palette includes 6 shades, including the new Timiano green, and the rims vary between 17 and 19 inches.
Minimalist Interior, Record Space and 4 Personalization Themes
Inside, Škoda applies a minimalist recipe with a massive focus on digitalization and sustainability. The centerpiece is the 13-inch multimedia screen powered by an Android-based operating system. Despite the compact footprint on the outside, the intelligent engineering of the MEB+ platform frees up a huge amount of space for luggage: the main trunk offers a record volume of 475 liters.
For complete personalization, the cabin is available in 4 distinct visual themes (Design Selection):
- Studio: Available for the Essence base trim – brings a clean combination of black and gray.
- Loft Grey: For the top-of-the-range Selection trim – introduces embroidered surfaces and eco-friendly Techtona upholstery, a premium alternative to natural leather.
- Loft Mint: Plush with fresh accents painted in the shade of Mint green.
- Suite: The top variant, with fine Alcantara (Sweden) upholstery, Techtona details and refined surfaces in Tabora brown.
Intelligently grouped features: Škoda offers 5 clear feature packages. The Convenience package brings thermal comfort (heated seats and steering wheel), Tech adds digital key access and induction charging, Travel brings the Travel Assist 3.0 autonomous guidance system, while the Premium package adds a 10-speaker Canton high-fidelity audio system and an additional 25-liter front trunk (frunk).
Three Power Versions and Bi-directional Technology
The new Czech SUV makes no compromises when it comes to electric performance, offering three engine options based on a permanent magnet synchronous motor and two different types of battery chemistry.

Version Power Maximum Torque Acceleration (0-100 km/h) Maximum Speed Battery (Net) / Chemistry Estimated Autonomy
| Version | Power Output | Peak Torque | Acceleration (0-100 km/h) | Top Speed | Battery (Net) / Chemistry | Estimated Range |
| Epiq 35 | 116 hp | 267 Nm | 11.0 seconds | 150 km/h | 37.5 kWh / LFP (Iron Phosphate) | ~310 km |
| Epiq 40 | 135 hp | 267 Nm | 9.8 seconds | 150 km/h | 37.5 kWh / LFP (Iron Phosphate) | ~310 km |
| Epiq 55 | 211 hp | 290 Nm | 7.4 seconds | 160 km/h | 51.5 kWh / NMC (Nickel Manganese Cobalt) | ~440 km |
The NMC battery on the top version benefits from a superior energy density and allows for ultra-fast recharging from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes. In addition to the One-Pedal Driving system (One-Pedal Driving in mode B), Epiq brings full bi-directional charging technology to the segment: V2L (powering external consumers), V2H (powering the home) and V2G (sending energy back to the power grid). Furthermore, the top versions offer an outstanding towing capacity of up to 1200 kg.
Latest Safety tech and the Exclusive "First Edition"
The Škoda Epiq comes standard with 7 airbags (including a central one between the front seats) and a full suite of assistance systems: Front Assist, Side Assist, cross-traffic alert and predictive speed limiter. Optionally, the Crossroad Assist system uses radars mounted on the corners of the front bumper to warn the driver of approaching cars or cyclists at intersections with poor visibility.
For its market debut, the manufacturer has prepared the special Epiq First Edition, an exclusive and easily recognizable package:
- Contrasting exterior and interior accents in Navajo Orange (on mirrors, air vents and seat belts).
- Two-tone body with glossy black roof, black roof rails and massive 20-inch wheels.
- Interior with 3-spoke sports steering wheel with red stitching, aluminum pedals and dedicated emblem.
- It comes standard equipped exclusively with the top-of-the-line 211 HP engine and the Convenience and Tech packages.

With the new Epiq, Škoda is delivering on its promise to democratise electric family mobility. Although the final detailed price list is yet to be published, the base model will have an extremely competitive starting price, estimated at around 25,900 - 26,000 euros, instantly becoming one of the most attractive and practical electric B-SUVs on the European market.
