Technical Details and Innovations: Battery Life and Wireless Charging

Even though there are still a few days until the official debut, Porsche has already revealed a series of technical details that underline this model's ambition to redefine the electric luxury SUV segment:

  • Platform: The new Cayenne Electric is developed on the 800-volt Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture, the same one used for the Macan Electric.
  • Battery and Autonomy: The model will benefit from a 113 kWh battery pack, which promises to offer an autonomy of over 600 kilometers in WLTP mode.
  • Speed ??Charging: Thanks to its 800V system, the Cayenne Electric will support charging speeds of up to 400 kW, allowing a charge from 10% to 80% in just 16 minutes.
  • Cutting-edge technologies: The new model will be the first Porsche to offer wireless battery charging, offering added convenience. It will also feature predictive battery thermal management to optimize charging performance and speed.

The Cayenne Electric comes to complete the existing range alongside the gasoline and plug-in hybrid versions, demonstrating Porsche's strategy of offering a triple engine option, adapted to the different pace of the transition to e-mobility in various regions of the world.
