Leapmotor T03 LCV enters Romania: The electric freight transport solution with 250 km of autonomy and top technology

Revolution in urban deliveries: Leapmotor T03 LCV "made in Italy" attacks the Romanian market with an unbeatable price

In a strategic move aimed at accelerating the transition to green urban logistics, the partnership between Stellantis and the Chinese from Leapmotor takes a decisive step. The new Leapmotor T03 LCV (Light Commercial Vehicle) has been officially presented, marking the brand's entry into the ultra-compact commercial vehicle segment. This cargo variant of the popular city model promises to become the new nightmare for Dacia Spring Cargo, offering a superior technological package and assembly "at home", in Europe.

The transformation: From city car to urban transporter

At first glance, the T03 LCV retains the agile silhouette of the standard model, but the real magic happens inside. The Chinese have ditched the rear seat to prioritize cargo space, creating a generous 657 liters of volume.

For the driver's safety, a solid protective net was installed between the cargo area and the two front seats. Although it is a "work" machine, Leapmotor did not compromise on aesthetics, offering three modern shades — Light White, Caribbean Blue and Canopy Gray — matched with 15-inch steel wheels finished in matte black.

Key technical specifications

Feature Details
Payload 220 kg
Motor Power 95 HP (70 kW)
Range (WLTP) 256 km
Top Speed 130 km/h
0-100 km/h Acceleration 12.7 seconds

Efficiency and Technology: Passenger Car Standards

Unlike other vans in this segment that are often "spartan", the T03 LCV comes equipped with an impressive technological arsenal. Delivery drivers will benefit from an 8-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch central screen.

Furthermore, active safety is top-notch, including:

  • Adaptive Cruise Control (rarity in this price segment);
  • Automatic emergency braking;
  • Lane Keeping Assist;
  • Blind spot warning system.

The 37.3 kWh battery supports 45 kW fast charging, meaning a 36-minute lunch break is enough to charge the battery from 30% to 80%, ensuring the continuity of the flow of deliveries throughout the day.

Price and Availability in Romania: When will we see it on the streets?

The biggest surprise comes from Fiat's plant in Mirafiori, Italy, where this model will be produced, giving it a crucial logistical and customs advantage in the European market.

    The announced starting price for Europe is 14,590 euros.

For the Romanian market, availability is estimated for the second half of 2026, through the Stellantis distribution network (which includes established partners such as Auto Italia). Although the final local price may vary slightly depending on taxes, the application of the Rabla Plus program could propel the Leapmotor T03 LCV into the area of ??an extremely attractive net purchase price for courier and proximity service fleets, undercutting the psychological threshold of 10,000 euros in certain subsidy scenarios.

Through this model, Leapmotor does not just sell a car, but a pragmatic business solution: minimal operating costs, perfect dimensions for the narrow streets of Bucharest or Cluj, and a quality guarantee backed by Stellantis expertise.
