The hybrid monster with over 800 HP debuts on July 1: First official image of the new Lamborghini Urus Performante facelift
The Sant'Agata Bolognese-based manufacturer is preparing to redefine the standards in the luxury super-SUV segment once again. Lamborghini has officially released the first teaser image of the upcoming updated version of the Urus Performante. The new facelift, scheduled for a global launch on July 1, promises to combine the radical aerodynamic elements of the Performante range with the brand's new era of electrification.
Extreme design and track-optimized aerodynamics
The official image released by the Italians focuses on the rear of the SUV, confirming a series of important visual changes. The taillights have received a revised interior design and a new light signature, in the shape of the letter Y, integrating perfectly into the current design language inaugurated by Revuelto and Temerario.
From an aerodynamic point of view, the new Urus Performante facelift increases downforce massively:
- A prominent carbon fiber spoiler mounted directly on the roof.
- A secondary "ducktail" spoiler positioned on the tailgate, just below the rear window, made of the same ultra-light material.
A completely redesigned rear diffuser flanked by optimised sports exhausts.
Although the front has not yet been fully revealed, spy images previously captured during testing on the Nürburgring circuit indicate much more vertical and aggressive air intakes, a redesigned carbon hood and optical blocks with state-of-the-art Matrix LED technology.
Under the hood: Over 800 horsepower from a V8 Plug-in Hybrid
The biggest revolution brought by this facelift is hidden under the hood. The new Urus Performante abandons exclusively thermal propulsion in favor of a plug-in hybrid system (PHEV).
The configuration will take over the architecture from the current Urus SE, combining the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with an electric motor integrated into the 8-speed automatic transmission and a 25.9 kWh lithium-ion battery. However, being a top-of-the-line version aimed at the track, Lamborghini engineers will squeeze even more power from this assembly. We expect performance to exceed the 800 hp and 950 Nm threshold, propelling the SUV from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3.4 seconds, despite the additional weight brought by the hybrid system.
Price and availability in Romania
Although official prices will only be announced on July 1, the new Lamborghini Urus Performante facelift will clearly position itself at the top of the Italian manufacturer's price pyramid.
| Model | Estimated Starting Price (Gross) | Powertrain Type |
| Urus SE (Current) | ~€330,000 – €350,000 | Plug-in Hybrid (800 HP) |
| Urus Performante Facelift | ~€370,000 – €410,000 | Plug-in Hybrid (>800 HP) |
Note for the local market: In Romania, orders can be placed through the official Lamborghini Bucharest dealer (Porsche Inter Auto), located in the northern area of ??the Capital (Voluntari/Otopeni), or through authorized premium importers.
Given the extremely long waiting lists for the brand's electrified models (which often stretch for more than 12-18 months), the first configured examples of the new Urus Performante facelift will hit the roads in Romania at the earliest at the end of 2026 or the beginning of 2027.
The full official launch will take place on July 1, at which time we will find out the exact performance figures and the official time achieved on the test circuits.
