How much does the new Jeep Avenger cost in Romania, list prices, hybrid, 4xe and electric engines
Launched on the European market exactly three years ago, in 2023, the Jeep Avenger has managed to redefine the presence of the American brand on the old continent, quickly becoming an essential pillar of sales. The manufacturer officially announced the achievement of the 300,000-order threshold, a notable performance that places the smallest SUV in the range directly in second place in the top of the most ordered models of the brand in Europe, immediately after the established Renegade. Moreover, the success is supported by the customer orientation towards sustainability: approximately 60% of the units ordered are electrified.
A matured design and a recent improvement package (Facelift)
To maintain the brisk pace of sales and meet the demanding demands of the European public, the Jeep Avenger received a comprehensive facelift update package earlier this year.
- Aesthetic updates: The front has been subtly revised and now includes a new illuminated grille, redesigned LED headlights, and two new exterior paint shades that increase customization possibilities.
- Interior refinement: The cabin has benefited from increased attention from designers, receiving materials of superior visual and tactile quality, softer surfaces and optimized ergonomics of digital and physical controls.
A full range of engines: From classic thermal to 4xe all-wheel drive and pure electric
Flexibility was another strong point in the Avenger adoption strategy, with the range designed to cover all mobility preferences of European customers.
- Gasoline version: At the base of the range is the 3-cylinder turbo engine with a displacement of 1.2 liters, ideal for everyday use.
- e-Hybrid variant: Brings added efficiency through a mild-hybrid system that develops 110 horsepower, coupled to an advanced automatic transmission.
- 4xe version: Designed for light off-road and all-wheel drive enthusiasts, this offers a 145 horsepower engine.
- Pure electric version (BEV): Delivers 156 horsepower and is powered by a battery that provides a range of up to 400 kilometers in the WLTP cycle, being preferred by a significant segment of urban and extra-urban buyers.
Sales dynamics and prices on the Romanian market
On the Romanian market, the Jeep Avenger has managed to attract a loyal audience, being appreciated for its compact dimensions, generous ground clearance and unmistakable design inspired by the brand's off-road DNA.
- Positioning and prices: Starting prices on the local market for the internal combustion engine and manual versions start at approximately 22,500 - 24,500 euros (VAT included), while the versions equipped with the e-Hybrid system climb to the threshold of 25,000 - 30,000 euros, depending on the equipment level chosen (Longitude, Altitude or the top-of-the-range Summit). The electric versions and the top 4xe variants are located in the higher price segments, frequently benefiting from national programs to stimulate the purchase of environmentally friendly vehicles.
- Commercial evolution: In Romania, as in the rest of Europe, hybrid and electric options have gained considerable ground over classic exclusively thermal engines, with Romanian buyers massively opting for the comfort of automatic transmission and the economy offered by electrified propulsion systems.
