Ford expands Puma range - two new special editions made in Romania
The American manufacturer is refreshing its most popular SUV in Europe, produced exclusively in Romania, with two special packages dedicated to both electric propulsion and performance thermal versions.
Craiova on the wave: A boost for the best-selling Ford in Europe. The Ford Otosan plant in Craiova marks a new important moment. Against the background of excellent performances on the European market, Ford expands the range of the compact crossover produced in Romania with two special editions: Black Edition (exclusive for the 100% electric Gen-E version) and ST Edition (for the version with thermal engines).
Both versions bring added aesthetic appeal, top-of-the-line equipment and technical modifications geared towards dynamic driving.
Ford Puma Gen-E Black Edition: Dark refinement and advanced technology
Dedicated exclusively to the Puma Gen-E electric version, the Black Edition relies on a strong visual contrast and a very rich standard equipment.
Exterior design and smart lighting
- Exclusive color: Body painted in the spectacular Azura Blue shade, contrasting with the black painted roof and mirror caps.
- Dedicated wheels: 18-inch alloy wheels, finished in a matte black shade (Asphalt Black Matt).
- Standard Dynamic Matrix LED headlights: They include cutting-edge technologies such as glare-free automatic high beam and dynamic and predictive cornering light, ensuring maximum visibility in all conditions.
Premium interior atmosphere
The interior adopts a dark theme, enriched by specific style details:
- Ebony roof headliner.
- Visible stitching in Candy Blue on the seats, door panels and dashboard.
- Exclusive illuminated door sill trims.
Ford Puma ST Edition: KW suspension for sporty driving enthusiasts
If the Black Edition is about electric refinement, the new ST Edition is designed for purists who prefer internal combustion engines and dynamics on winding roads.
Motorsport-derived handling
Raising the bar for the performance version, the special edition integrates a handling package optimized with the help of German specialists from KW Automotive:
- Lowered ground clearance: The reconfigured suspension lowers the ground clearance by 10 millimeters.
- Superior control: The suspension setup provides more precise response on winding trails, while maintaining the comfort needed for everyday use.
ST design details
Like its electric sibling, the ST Edition gets Azura Blue paint with a black roof. Inside, the package is completed by a sports steering wheel with increased grip and illuminated interior sills.
Estimated prices and availability in Romania
So far, Ford has not published official price lists for the new special editions. However, compared to the existing configurable range on the Romanian market, we can outline a realistic estimate:
