The future of Bavarian luxury has arrived: The new BMW 7 Series facelift can be ordered in Romania. Prices from 114.000 euros
The Munich-based manufacturer is putting its new flagship in a whole new league. Unveiled this spring as one of the most radical mid-life cycle updates (LCI) in the brand's history, the new BMW 7 Series facelift is officially available for order on the Romanian market.
The luxury limousine combines traditional elegance with a massive technological arsenal, taken directly from the upcoming BMW Neue Klasse electric vehicle family. To begin with, customers in Romania can choose from a range consisting of one petrol variant and three pure electric versions, with the starting price set at 113,982 euros (VAT included).
Imposing aesthetics and a revolutionized interior by "Neue Klasse"
On the outside, the new 7 Series facelift adopts straighter lines and a more vertical front end, flanked by a large illuminated grille (Iconic Glow) and split LED headlights. At the rear, reshaped taillights are a strong reminder of the brand's new minimalist design language.
The real transformation, however, takes place in the passenger compartment, where BMW has made major structural changes:
- BMW Panoramic iDrive: The revolutionary screen that runs across the entire width of the base of the windshield, moving essential information directly into the driver's field of vision.
- Front passenger screen: An absolute first for the German manufacturer. It allows the right-hand passenger to play media content or browse the internet, benefiting from an integrated privacy filter that prevents the driver from viewing the screen, eliminating distractions while driving.
- Cinema on wheels: Rear passengers still enjoy the massive BMW Theatre Screen, now upgraded to 8K resolution and coupled with an immersive Bowers & Wilkins audio system with Dolby Atmos technology.
Engines at debut: A single pure thermal and the electric assault i7
For fans of classic propulsion, BMW keeps a single petrol option on offer at debut, with the rest of the initial range being dominated by full electrification.
Petrol option: BMW 740 xDrive. The base version uses a refined inline 6-cylinder petrol engine, assisted by a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. The assembly develops 400 horsepower and a generous 580 Nm of torque, delivered to all four wheels via the xDrive all-wheel drive system. The price for this variant starts at 113,982 euros including VAT.
The BMW i7 electric trio: Record range and cutting-edge technology
The electric versions take the step towards the new generation of batteries (Gen 6) with cylindrical cells, massively optimizing energy management. Customers have three power thresholds available:
- i7 50 xDrive: Offers 455 hp and 660 Nm of torque. Equipped with a massive 112.5 kWh battery, it promises a remarkable range of up to 725 kilometers in the WLTP cycle. Prices start at 117,491 euros.
- i7 60 xDrive: Ups the ante to 544 HP and 745 Nm, keeping the same 112.5 kWh battery and the same official range of 725 km. The price starts at 136,428 euros.
- i7 M70 xDrive: The absolute top of the range developed by the M division. It delivers a colossal 690 hp and a devastating 1100 Nm of torque. Although the focus is on extreme dynamic performance, the autonomy remains excellent, 686 kilometers. The starting price reflects the exclusivity: 178,717 euros including VAT.
