Leapmotor B03X and B05 in Romania - launch prices, technical data and WLTP autonomy
On the occasion of the official opening of the Bucharest Auto & Accessories Show (SAB) 2026, the Chinese manufacturer Leapmotor expands its presence on the Romanian market by launching two new 100% electric models: the B03X urban crossover and the B05 hatchback.
Both vehicles come to strengthen the brand's offer on the local market, relying on modern architectures, a high level of interior digitalization and competitive prices anchored in the volume vehicle segment.
Leapmotor B03X: Practical urban crossover with generous space and autonomy of up to 382 km
The new Leapmotor B03X is developed for urban and peri-urban environments, with balanced proportions that allow for easy maneuverability without compromising interior space for passengers.

Interior and on-board technology
The interior features a modern atmosphere, configured with soft-touch materials on the main surfaces. Digitization is provided by two main screens: a 14.6-inch central touchscreen for the infotainment system and an 8.8-inch integrated display for the digital instrument cluster.
The basic equipment (Life) offers an extensive package of standard features: automatic climate control, LED headlights, a steering wheel wrapped in eco-leather, longitudinal roof rails, 18-inch alloy wheels, 7 airbags and a suite of 21 advanced driver assistance functions (ADAS). The model is also available in a higher equipment level, called Design.
Battery versions and performance
The B03X crossover uses LFP (Lithium-Iron-Phosphate) batteries and is sold in two technical configurations:
- Pro version: 39.8 kWh battery combined with a 176 hp electric motor. Offers a range of up to 292 kilometers in the WLTP cycle.
- ProMax version: 53 kWh battery combined with a 197 HP electric motor. Provides a range of up to 382 kilometers in the WLTP cycle.
Both versions develop a maximum torque of 200 Nm, accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds and reach a top speed limited to 160 km/h.
Leapmotor B05: Dynamic electric hatchback, 218 hp and up to 482 km range
The second model presented in national premiere at Romexpo is the Leapmotor B05, an electric hatchback with a more dynamic orientation, highlighted by a fluid design and a detailed aerodynamic profile.
Exterior design and aerodynamic coefficient
The B05 stands out with a width of 1,880 mm and styling elements specific to models in higher classes: frameless doors, door handles integrated into the body and 19-inch wheels. The aerodynamic coefficient of 0.26 Cd contributes to reducing drag and optimizing energy consumption.
Refined interior and comfort features
Inside, the hatchback offers eco-leather upholstery, a generous panoramic roof, and heated seats. The driving position retains the dual configuration with a 14.6-inch central screen and an 8.8-inch dashboard.
Performance and fast charging
The powertrain developed for the B05 delivers 218 hp and 240 Nm of torque. The model also benefits from a dedicated Launch Control mode, with which the 0–100 km/h sprint is achieved in 6.7 seconds.
The model is offered with two battery options:
- 56.2 kWh battery: Provides a range of up to 401 kilometers (WLTP).
- 67.1 kWh battery: Provides a range of up to 482 kilometers (WLTP).
At a DC fast charging station, recharging the battery from 30% to 80% takes approximately 17 minutes.
