The return of a legendary name: Honda Prelude Limited Edition arrives in Europe
After a successful debut in Japan, the Japanese manufacturer is bringing a new exclusive version of its hybrid coupé to the European market. Aptly named the Prelude Limited Edition, the new special series will be available for orders starting this autumn on the Old Continent, marking the return of the Prelude name in a modern and exclusive interpretation.
The decision to bring this limited edition to Europe comes as a result of the high demand recorded in the home market, where the aesthetic package and additional features quickly attracted brand enthusiasts.
Exterior design: Exclusive Premium Crystal Garnet Metallic color
Aesthetically, the Honda Prelude Limited Edition clearly differentiates itself from the standard version through a series of dedicated styling elements, designed to highlight the body's flowing lines.
The centerpiece is the new exterior color Premium Crystal Garnet Metallic, created exclusively for this model. This special multi-layer paintwork reflects light differently depending on the viewing angle, emphasizing the coupé's prominent shoulders and aerodynamic profile.
The exterior package is complemented by a series of contrasting elements:
- Red accents discreetly integrated into the front and rear bumpers;
- 19-inch alloy wheels, finished in gloss black;
- High-performance braking system with red-painted Brembo calipers visible behind the spokes.
Sporty interior: Red details and dedicated badge
Unlike the interior of the standard variant, the cabin of the limited edition receives a bi-material color theme with obvious sporty accents.
The contoured seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, dashboard, center console and door panels are decorated with visible red stitching. The same contrasting shade is also taken up by the dedicated textile floor mats. To certify the exclusive character of the series, the dashboard is ennobled with a special emblem inscribed with the name Prelude.
e:HEV hybrid drive: Efficient performance with up to 200 hp
Under the hood, the limited edition retains the advanced e:HEV hybrid powertrain, renowned for its energy efficiency and linear power delivery.
The system is offered in two power outputs, 184 hp and 200 hp, both powering the front axle. The e:HEV architecture uses an Atkinson cycle petrol engine combined with two electric motors, offering a seamless transition between electric, hybrid and petrol modes, while maintaining low fuel consumption in urban environments.
Availability and estimated prices for the Romanian market
The new Honda Prelude Limited Edition will be available to order from the official dealer network in Europe starting this autumn, with first deliveries scheduled for the end of this year and the beginning of next year.
Given the generous package of standard features (exclusive metallic paint, Brembo brakes, 19-inch wheels and customized interior), the limited edition will have a higher price positioning than the production version.
